Peppermint White Chocolate

There is nothing better on a bitter cold night than hot white chocolate mixed with just a hint of peppermint and vanilla to celebrate the Christmas season.  This will easily turn into a family favorite.

Peppermint White Chocolate
4 1/2 cups milk
12 oz pkg. white chocolate chips
1/8 tsp peppermint extract
1/8 tsp vanilla extract
Whipped cream for topping
Crushed candy canes, for garnish

Warm milk in medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly for about 5 minutes or until heated through.  Turn burner to low.  Stir in white chocolate chips and stir constantly until all the chocolate is melted and smooth.  Remove from heat and add peppermint and vanilla extracts.  Top with whipped cream and crushed candy canes, if desired, and serve hot.  Makes about 4 full servings.

Tips
  • Use any kind of milk you would like.  Use non-fat milk for less calories.
  • Prepare this hot chocolate for your family and sit down to watch The Polar Express while sipping on this delicious hot chocolate.  You might end up making a new Christmas tradition.

Enjoy!
